何炤 – Monday Works
Name姓名：何炤(He Zhao)
1988年生于湖南湘潭，本科毕业于浙江大学计算机学院，2009年获得欧盟政府Erasmus Mundus奖学金，现就读于英国爱丁堡大学信息学院。他的摄影作品关注与现代生活中潜在的荒谬与矛盾。在Oversea这组照片中，他拍摄了一群即将出国留学的中国学生，希望引起观众的好奇：为什么有这么多中国学生选择出国留学。在摄影项目Project LV中，他又以策展人的身份让大家来揭露现代中国乃至全世界的消费主义现象。
He Zhao (b. 1988 in Xiangtan, China) is neither a practicing new media artist nor prolific photographer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Zhejiang University. He is a recipient of Erasmus Mundus Scholarship granted by the European Commission. Currently he is a graduate student in the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. He is interested in discovering and visualizing the subconscious absurdity in modern life. In the series Oversea, he has photographed Chinese students who are about to study abroad, evoking audience’s curiosity on the reasons why so many students wish to study overseas. He has also acted as a curator in the flickr group collection Project LV, trying to reveal the massive consumerism in modern China as well as in other countries.
